9 Messed Up Moments In Disney Movies That You Probably Didn’t Catch

I think I have made it clear through a lot of my articles here at We Got This Covered that I am a fan of animated Disney films. It's a love I've carried with me since childhood. However, I've always heard rumors of Disney hiding some pretty messed up stuff in their cartoons. But in an era before the internet, it was quite hard to prove. Well, guess what? We're right in the middle of the internet era now and all of these rumors can finally be put to rest, or can they? While it's messed up to hide nudity in a Disney movie, I can understand why the animators did it. It was like a little inside joke between them all. But the fact of the matter is, you can't hide this stuff from the masses forever. People are going to find out eventually. And so, from naughty messages written in the stars to encouraging young kids to get naked, here are nine times that Disney hid some really messed up shit in their cartoons. 9) Phallic Nose - Beauty and the Beast If you thought that a beloved classic like Beauty and the Beast might be free of any hidden, crude, twisted imagery, you'd unfortunately be wrong. While not as blatantly obvious as some of the other examples on this list (trust me, some of them are quite bad), it's still there if you look close enough. The scene in question is one between Gaston and Lefou. While you could just chalk it up to unfortunate animation, it's pretty clear from the photo above that this is likely one of the many times the sick minds at Disney tried to hide sexual imagery in their films. I mean, look at that nose on Lefou - that kind of thing doesn't happen by accident, right? Whether it was done on purpose or not, once you see it, you can't unsee it. Trust me, I've tried; Beauty and the Beast is now forever ruined. 8) Jessica Rabbit Shows Her Pink Rabbit - Who Framed Roger Rabbit Let it be known that this was one of the few times Disney actually owned up and went back and changed whatever was being addressed. If you buy this film on DVD now or watch it online, chances are, you'll be seeing the edited version that's missing the animated vagina of Jessica Rabbit. However, if you saw this movie in the theater and bought the first copies that came out on VHS (kids read that now and are like WTF), you can pause the movie at just the right point and you will see Jessica's rabbit. And no, I'm not talking about Roger. While it can be said that Jessica is written and played as a sexpot, and it makes sense that she would walk around sans panties, you just cannot show vagina in a Disney cartoon. I'm pretty sure that is one of the first rules they teach now because of this little (not so hidden) slip up. Also, let it be known that Jessica Rabbit was into Brazilian waxing long before it became the norm. If those animators were truly witty, they would have given her a tuft of ginger pubic hair. Just saying. But, on a final note, the person who took the time to FIND this might be the creepiest person we all hope to never meet. The animators put it in as a joke. The guy who found it was frame by frame pausing Who Framed Roger Rabbit, just on the off-chance he might see some animated snizz. Now THAT is creepy. 7) It's Not All About Size... - Frozen (2013) While this one isn't a visual moment, it's still a sneaky little sexual reference and since this is such a beloved film, we've decided to include it here since not many people seemed to have picked up on it. As you no doubt know, one of the most refreshing aspects of Frozen, and the reason critics and audiences took to it so well, was its 'new' take on romance. For Disney, the emphasis on sisterly love over marriage was a relatively progressive stance compared to how the earlier princesses just swooned over the first handsome man they saw. Anna starts out like one of these typical leading ladies with her obsession over Hans - BOOOOOOO! - after only meeting him once, but fortunately, Kristoff jumps in to point out how ridiculous their engagement is. On their way to the North Mountain, Kristoff quizzes Anna about Hans, asking whether she even knows the basics such as his last name, favorite food, eye color etc. Innocent enough, so far. However, when Kristoff asks Anna about Hans' foot size, she quickly responds by saying that "Foot size doesn’t matter…" Turns out Anna is more interested in Hans for his personality than the size of his penis. If that doesn't scream feminism, then I don't know what does. 6) Real Life Topless Woman - The Rescuers This one is nothing short of hilarious. In The Rescuers, there's a scene where the two mice are flying through the city, and if you know the exact moment and can pause it just right, you will see that there's a (non-animated) topless woman in one of the windows they soar past. The thing about this scene is, it's so fast and fleeting that I'm curious how someone even found it in the first place? Actually, I don't even wanna know. This is another one that has since been edited out by Disney (which means they own up to it, which is big on their part), and if you watch it now, there'll be no nudity. Let it be known, though, there is no nudity in the sequel, either. They just put the sexy right in the title on that one: The Rescuers: Down Under. Yup, that pretty much says it all. 5) Priest Gets Erection - The Little Mermaid The Little Mermaid was the movie that opened my eyes to how sick Disney really was. First of all, even I noticed how twisted the cover of the film is. Part of you thinks that is where it will end though, but that's just the tip of the pink mushroom. The REAL shocking moment in The Little Mermaid was the scene where the priest who is marrying the fish and human dude suddenly gets a visible erection. Granted, it is not much of an erection, but it's clearly there. This is one of the examples when Disney tried to come out and call everyone nuts, saying it's the priest shifting one of his knees. Yet, if you watch it, do his feet move at all? Nope. You know what that means, right? Priest boner, for sure. The way I see it is at least this is one priest from the 90's who was not getting an erection over a kid. He was getting an erection over a man marrying a fish......Actually, that's pretty f*cking weird, too, come to think of it. 4) Wing Boner - Toy Story 2 Honestly, this particular moment probably wouldn't strike you as odd or out of the ordinary upon first glance, but like so many others on this list, once you've seen it in a new light, you can't see it the same way again. I'm referring, of course, to the scene in the video above, where Buzz Lightyear gets what the internet's now coined a "wingboner" in Toy Story 2. It happens when Jessie shows off her skills in opening the door, leaving Buzz in awe before his wings pop out and and his jaw drops. It may not be an erection per se, but that's clearly what's being referenced here, right? One quick search on Google for "Buzz Lightyear Wingboner" will tell you that I'm far from the only one who thinks that. Just be sure to do that search in an Incognito/Private window. After all, you wouldn't want people getting the wrong idea.... 3) Sex In The Stars - The Lion King Oh Lion King. Such a glorious, soul shattering, fun-filled movie about dying parents and lions fucking and gay boars singing songs and shit. This is the film that taught me about "the circle of life," and it's also another Disney movie where the animators could not help themselves and just had to get all kinky when no one was paying attention. Though some can say this one is contested, most people think it's pretty clear. In one scene, pictured above, while our attention is focused on the lion, the shifting stars up in the galaxy above seem to spell out the word "sex." Sure, it's a bit debatable. But given that Disney is known for hiding this particular word in most of their films, I'm pretty sure that is what's going on here. At one point, you figure one of these animators would be like, "okay, we get it, hiding inappropriate stuff in a kid's cartoon is funny. Fight Club also pointed this out. By why don't we hide a drug reference or something?" Then I remembered Fantasia (which is one big drug sequence), and I laughed. 2) Telling Kids To Get Naked - Aladdin Okay, this might be the one entry on the list that draws the most ire. Truth is, this one is the reason I wrote this list in the first place. It's also the one that I experienced in real life as a teenager and was blown away by when I first discovered it. A friend of mine insisted that there was a line about "taking off your clothes" hidden in Aladdin, and I just did not believe it. So, she brought me over one day, popped it in the VCR (the WHAT, say all young kids reading this) and when the scene comes with Aladdin trying to fly up on Jasmine's shit, she turned the TV REALLY loud. Well, wouldn't you know it. Sure as shit, something was there. I wasn't sure what it was, but it definitely wanted me to get naked. It's tough to hear for certain, but it definitely sounds like some encouragement towards younger people in the audience to unrobe. Truthfully, this one is just weird and kind of disturbing, and makes me wonder what the animators were thinking when they came up with it. 1) The Blatant Blue Cock - Hercules Do I even need to say anything about this one? The above photo is in no way doctored at all. That is a paused frame of animation from the actual Hercules movie. But, what is the most prevalent thing in that shot? Could it be the erection growing out of the River Guardian's head? Why, yes! Yes, it is! You cannot help but feel like, by this point, they were just getting lazier and lazier and their attempts to even bother hiding this shit were getting weaker and weaker. That is an erection, coming out of someone's head. That's more like something you would see in A Serbian Film rather than a Disney film. Yet, there it is. A rigid, blue penis. Whereas the other movies at least only sort of showed it or tried to be slick about, Hercules just likes to shove it in your face. That's this cartoon's fetish, by the way. Honestly, watch anything involving Danny DeVito and you're bound to see some weird, blue cock at some point. Just trust me on that.
