The seventh edition of the D23 Expo will be held from September 9 to September 11 in Anaheim and will be presented in conjunction with its sponsor, Visa. Disney has made D23 Expo one of the most important dates in their calendar, especially as they hope it will eclipse the coverage seen during events like San Diego Comic-Con.

Previous years have seen the expo announce major titles such as Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Raya and the Last Dragon, as well as first looks at films such as Black Widow and Eternals. With currently no set date for The Mandalorian‘s third season, it’s possible the September event will show footage of the much-anticipated streaming hit.

September’s D23 will also be the first time the showcase has been held since 2019, after three years in the wilderness due to COVID-19. Tickets will be made available on January 20th for punters to attend, while it is likely the major news and trailers will be simulcast to audiences worldwide.

Potential first looks at this year’s expo also include major Marvel Cinematic Universe entries, with The Marvels, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Fantastic Four all in various stages of development and prepped for releases from 2023 onwards.
