Empire continues to roll out its coverage for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice one tantalizing piece at a time, with the latest media dump bringing forth two stylish new covers that divide the titular DC titans.

Arriving on the heels of the outlet’s unveiling of the subscriber-only issue – designed by comic book legend Jim Lee – today’s DC-centric copies will be available to buy from January 28.

That’s not all, though; earlier today, a string of new screenshots emerged for Dawn of Justice, offering a much clearer look at the purported Darkseid symbol that seems to appear during Bruce Wayne’s dream sequence. Snyder has of course remained coy about the possibility of introducing the DC mega-villain, who is by all accounts the early frontrunner to anchor the director’s two-part Justice League ensemble piece. For now, we’ll have to settle for unconfirmed speculation.

Taking heed of Frank Miller’s seminal The Dark Knight Returns, Dawn of Justice will introduce a Bruce Wayne that is beginning to get grey around the temples. Fearing the Last Son of Krypton’s unchecked power, Gotham’s own vigilante takes matters into his own hands, though the appearance of Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor forces the superpowered pairing to put aside old rivalries for the time being – along with the reluctant help of Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman.

Rounding out the cast are Man of Steel alum Amy Adams and Laurence Fishburne, not to mention Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter, Jason Momoa and even The Walking Dead star Lauren Cohan.

With the weight of the DC Extended Universe resting on its broad shoulders, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to open in theaters on March 25.
