Why You Should Be Excited For Matt Reeves’ The Batman

Now that War for the Planet of the Apes is upon us, its co-writer and director, Matt Reeves, will be moving onto another teeny-weeny project that you may have heard of: The Batman. Undoubtedly, this will be the biggest task of his career to date, because all eyes are on it and nothing less than sensational will cut it for fans of Gotham’s Dark Knight. After all, he’s following Christopher Nolan’s award-winning trilogy, so no pressure there…

Considering Reeves’ track record, though, why should we even be concerned if he can do it? Everything he’s touched has turned to gold and he’s fast becoming a critical darling. So, it’s safe to say the future of the Batman film franchise is in good hands here.

Of course everyone at WGTC is eagerly anticipating what sort of magic Reeves conjures up for this film, and we’ve identified all the reasons you should be excited for it, too. As always, if you agree or disagree with our thoughts, please do let us know in the comments section. Remember, it’s perfectly okay to say “nah, fam, you’re whack AF” or “hell yeah, I love you, WGTC.”

So, with that out of the way, join us as we get psyched for The Batman on the next page.
