Even by Marvel’s own lofty standards, 2018 has been a wild, dizzying year for anyone connected to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Not only did the lucrative franchise raise a glass in honor of its 10th anniversary, but it also opened its doors to three critically-acclaimed gems in Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War and Ant-Man and the Wasp, the latter of which is poised for a release in China this coming weekend.

And now? We await the arrival of Captain Marvel, Brie Larson’s superpowered heroine strong enough to become the MCU’s one true power player – much to the dismay of Hulk and Thor. She’ll officially make her big-screen debut in March, before continuing that adventure into the untitled Avengers 4.

Little to no information has been released about the 2019 follow-up, but that hasn’t affected BossLogic’s output. We’ll give you a clue: his latest piece features two Captains and a whole lot of awesomeness.

We should stress that this is an unofficial piece of artwork, and therefore doesn’t represent any one particular scene from Avengers 4. Still, take nothing away from BossLogic’s latest design, because it’s good enough to be framed and mounted over your bed, replete with a nice black frame to really bring out that fiery glow from Captain Marvel’s eyes.

For the uninitiated, Carol Danvers is an Air Force pilot and the beating heart of Captain Marvel’s origin story. When a routine test goes awry, her DNA is fused with that of an alien during a near-fatal accident. The resulting alteration imbues her with the superpowers of strength, energy projection and flight, so it’s small wonder why Kevin Feige considers her to be the strongest MCU character thus far.

Look for Brie Larson to make her MCU debut on March 8th, 2019, when the standalone Captain Marvel movie will be the talk of the town.
