Jack Black Almost Tricked Karen Gillan Into Spoiling Avengers: Endgame

With Avengers: Endgame less than two months away from release, the cast only has to stop themselves from spilling those precious spoilers for a little while longer. But as the anticipation levels rise for the Avengers: Infinity War sequel, stars like Karen Gillan find themselves pressed for details from all angles, and in a new video on Jack Black’s JablinskiGames YouTube channel, the actress is almost tricked into letting some details slip.

Sitting down with her Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle co-star, Gillan engaged in a session of Crash Bandicoot that left her vulnerable to mischief. After observing that it’s often harder to answer questions while concentrating on the game, Black asks her to explain the plot of Endgame. Gillan starts her answer, “So, basically…,” before letting out a sudden gasp as she realizes just what Black is doing. She then admits, “You got me for a second.”

You can watch the whole thing unfold from 13:33 below:

As it stands, there are already a few noteworthy details we can piece together on Nebula’s role in the upcoming film. For one thing, Gillan has previously mentioned that she’ll have a surprising new “BFF” in the movie, and going by the first Endgame trailer, Tony Stark remains the internet’s favorite guess for who this unlikely bestie might be. The actress has also mentioned that she’ll “confront some serious daddy issues,” suggesting that her tense history with Thanos will soon be coming to a head.

On top of that, some footage that recently screened to Disney shareholders reportedly showed Nebula on Earth and interacting with the likes of Captain Marvel and Rocket at the Avengers HQ. Interestingly, while most of the surviving heroes were apparently present in this sequence, Nebula’s traveling buddy Stark sounds like he was nowhere to be seen, suggesting that she may have somehow managed to get to Earth before Iron Man. Take that how you will, but it isn’t long now before all is revealed when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th.
