Not quite what you were expecting now, was it?

One man in Hong Kong probably wasn’t expecting to get his spoiler-leaking butt handed to him, either, but hopefully he wasn’t too surprised. According to reports (which are pending at this time), the fan had just exited the three hour-long movie and for whatever reason, he started blurting out spoilers right there in the cinema. If there’s one thing a person can claim temporary insanity for, this would be it. A movie that’s set to make $1 billion in its opening weekend is NOT something you want to spoil the ending for.

Anyways, here’s an alleged photo of the violent aftermath for the newest supervillain in the MCU, Spoiler-Guy:

These days, we have to take reports like this with a grain of fake news salt, but a few social media users have also come forward to say they witnessed the incident.

If it’s true, it really makes you wonder: is this guy the only person on the planet without Facebook? Personally, I can’t scroll more than a few posts down without a promise of certain death if someone posts spoilers. I really didn’t know I had such violence-prone people in my life. After seeing the movie, however, I can see why someone would be upset about having the ending ruined. After all, it and the entire film are truly epic.

So, lessons learned from Hong Kong? Well, when the producers of the movie hop on social media and beg their fans not to spoil it for others, don’t. Furthermore, when the studio behind the movie launches an actual anti-spoiler campaign, complete with the hashtag #DontSpoilTheEndgame, don’t. And, once people start ruining Avengers: Endgame in the theater and get beat up for it, definitely don’t. It’s really that simple. Just don’t spoil the Endgame.
