After the exciting news of a possible live-action Spider-Verse sent fans into a frenzy, it seems that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is currently mulling over whether or not another series under its umbrella should adapt the same strategy. Yes, according to reliable insider Daniel Richtman, the folks in charge at Marvel Studios are currently considering whether or not Deadpool could also have his own multiverse of sorts.
Execs at the company reportedly want multiple versions of the superhero to appear in future films and are now discussing a Deadpoolverse movie. After all, the studio did tell us that they had big plans in the works for Wade Wilson and as the tipster notes, there could be some very exciting things in store for the Merc.
“As part of the multiverse stuff, they want to have multiple Deadpools and even considering a Deadpool verse movie,” he says.
This bold multiverse plan would certainly cure what Ryan Reynolds has previously described as an “alarming lack of Deadpool” in the MCU. After a film starring several different iterations of the snarky Merc with a Mouth, some fans might even start to believe that less is more. But with the actor who plays the titular vigilante apparently on the verge of receiving the biggest deal in franchise history, it seems like the antihero is here to stay and that we’ll soon be seeing the various versions from the comics entering the MCU via the multiverse.
Which alternate Deadpools could appear on screen, that we don’t yet know, but tell us, would you like to see a potential Deadpoolverse movie, or are you content with just one version of the character running around? Sound off in the comments section down below and let us know what you think!
