Nato And Remy’s Last Stand: Our Horror-Themed New Year’s Resolutions!

Alas, another year has come and gone, but momentary endings come with new beginnings and fresh opportunities, letting us start clean once again. With that said, I have no intention of starting over anything, and neither does my partner Remy, as we see 2014 as a chance to grow, reach even farther, and make the awesome year of 2013 seem uneventful compared to the hard-rocking, face-melting, awe-inspiring year of 2014. I can feel it people! If you thought 2013 had some highlights, just wait for 2014 - to quote lyrical virtuosos Tenacious D, we're here to "rock your f@#king socks off!"

Nato – Catch Up On More Classic Horror

I’ve mentioned this before, but as a child, I was a bit of a baby-back-bitch. I didn’t like horror. I didn’t like being scared. Hell, I didn’t even like going into Party City around Halloween because of all the scary masks. Those are the days my mother recalls so fondly, reminding me of what a little weenie I used to be, but that all changed one night – and I’m not really sure why. There’s getting over your fears, and then there’s taking your fears and turning them into a hobby, but since I made this 180 flip so late, a TON of films happened when I wasn’t paying attention. While I’ve utilized Netflix to the best of my abilities, running through 80s franchises in a genre-obsessed fervor, I really haven’t been able to go any farther back than the 70s.

Vincent Price. Alfred Hitchcock. Murnau. These are names I should know more handily than I do, and while I’m an aficionado considering the current horror genre, there’s so much homework to be done on my part, and I respect that. Hell, I even missed the whole 90s horror scene because that was my “horror-hating” phase. Oh boy, between catching up on classics and keeping up with my 100+ review quota, I’ve got quite the 2014 ahead of me. Anyone have any glaring recommendations for me to start with?
