Nato And Remy’s Last Stand: Our Horror-Themed New Year’s Resolutions!

Alas, another year has come and gone, but momentary endings come with new beginnings and fresh opportunities, letting us start clean once again. With that said, I have no intention of starting over anything, and neither does my partner Remy, as we see 2014 as a chance to grow, reach even farther, and make the awesome year of 2013 seem uneventful compared to the hard-rocking, face-melting, awe-inspiring year of 2014. I can feel it people! If you thought 2013 had some highlights, just wait for 2014 - to quote lyrical virtuosos Tenacious D, we're here to "rock your f@#king socks off!"

Nato – Attend More Than One Midnight/Horror Film Festival

I’m happy to reveal that I’ll be attending this year’s South By Southwest film festival on behalf of We Got This Covered, along with a few colleagues, and you bet your ass you know what kind of screenings I’ll be looking for. With films like Evil Dead and V/H/S/2 screening at the Texas-based festival last year, I can’t wait to see which films I’ll be able to get my grubby little hands on. Maybe The Green Inferno? Possibly The Sacrament? Will I be lucky enough for Cooties or Witching And Bitching? Ah! I’m getting myself all worked up about my upcoming adventure, but I still have two droll, arctic months to get through.

But, if I want to really start getting out there in the journalistic world, one festival a year isn’t enough – so why not start with two? Toronto After Dark Film Festival, Fantastic Fest, Mile High Horror Film Festival – wait, I already will be attending two this year with the New York City Horror Film Festival coming up in November.

Scratch that – let’s make it THREE Midnight/Horror movie festivals. There’s only one way to assert yourself in the horror genre, and that’s by becoming a festival junkie who can recommend the latest and greatest genre movies months before the public has a chance to formulate their own opinion. Plus, who doesn’t like seeing movies early, and traveling to uncharted lands to do so!?
