Official Synopsis Logline For Terrence Malick’s Lawless

The first official synopsis logline for Terrence Malick’s Lawless has been released by the production company Film Nation, it reads as follows.

“Two intersecting love triangles. It is a story of sexual obsession and betrayal set against the music scene in Austin, Texas.”

One of the film’s stars, Rooney Mara, has previously revealed that the film will begin production in September, while Malick’s other upcoming film, Knight Of Cups, will get in front of the camera sometime in June.

While Knight Of Cups will be a separate narrative, the fact that Christian Bale, Natalie Portman and Cate Blanchett turn up in both films (Lawless and Knight Of Cups), leads many to believe that there will be some connection between the two. Without any official confirmation though, all we have is speculation.
