Power Rangers Runtime Confirmed As New Poster Gathers The Fresh-Faced Heroes

It's official: Power Rangers will run for 124 minutes when Dean Israelite's live-action reboot smashes into theaters on March 24th.

We are, at the time of writing, little over a month away from the theatrical release of Dean Israelite’s Power Rangers reboot and with it, the birth of a newfound film franchise at Lionsgate.

At least, that’s the idea. To date, the studio’s bold reimagining has split audiences right down the middle, with many taking issue with some of the design choices and indeed changes being made to both the Rangers and their companions – from Bryan Cranston’s all-powerful Zordon to Alpha 5, the sprightly, sentient robot portrayed by Bill Hader. And that’s before you toss Elizabeth Banks’ sneering Rita Repulsa into the mix.

But let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves, as it’s always best to judge the final product than the smattering of promos that precede it. Speaking of which, we now have confirmation that Power Rangers will run for just over two hours – 124 minutes, to be precise – when it makes a beeline for theaters late next month, which falls far short of The Fate of the Furious, which will reportedly stretch closer to three hours and become the longest entry in Universal’s testosterone-fuelled franchise to date on April 14th.

As for the Power Rangers, though, yet another poster has found its way online today, though the questionable Photoshopping of the Rangers leads us to believe that this is, in fact, a fan-made one-sheet. If nothing else, it offers a slightly bizarre tease of how each character will appear without their respective helmets.

Power Rangers zooms into theaters on March 24th and you can catch a glimpse of that dubious new poster, below.
