Quentin Tarantino Says No To Kill Bill Vol. 3 And James Bond

Will he or won't he? That seems to be the question in regards as to whether director Quentin Tarantino plans on making Kill Bill Vol. 3. The director said in the past that he wants to do the film but as of yet, no progress has been made. In fact, many people doubt that the film will ever see the light of day and while speaking at the Toronto premiere for his new film Django Unchained, Tarantino has confirmed that very doubt.

Will he or won’t he? That seems to be the question in regards as to whether director Quentin Tarantino plans on making Kill Bill Vol. 3. The director said in the past that he wants to do the film but as of yet, no progress has been made. In fact, many people doubt that the film will ever see the light of day and while speaking at the Toronto premiere for his new film Django Unchained, Tarantino has confirmed that very doubt.

I got a chance to catch up with the director briefly as he walked the red carpet at the premiere and when asked if we would ever see Kill Bill Vol. 3, he replied with the following:

“I don’t know if there’s ever going to be a Kill Bill. Vol 3. We’ll see, probably not though.”

Now, the director has been back and forth on the film for a while but as of now, it seems that Quentin Tarantino will not be making Kill Bill Vol. 3. And speaking of films that Tarantino won’t make, I also slid in a question about James Bond, asking if he would ever take a stab at the franchise.

For those who don’t know, he wanted to direct Casino Royale years ago but of course, that job went to someone else. When I asked the director if he would consider helming a future Bond film, he told me that “No, Casino Royale was the one I wanted to direct, they missed their opportunity.”

So there you have it, two films that Quentin Tarantino won’t direct. Bond isn’t too surprising, but I was kind of shocked to hear that he isn’t going to make Kill Bill Vol. 3. As a fan of the first two, it’s also pretty disappointing. I was looking forward to a third instalment and was really hoping that he was still planning on making it.

For now, we’ll have to wait and see how things turn out. At the current moment it seems as if he isn’t interested but who knows, that may change in the near future. I hope it does.

What do you think? Are you disappointed to hear that Quentin Tarantino isn’t interested in making Kill Bill Vol. 3 anymore?
