The Marvel Cinematic Universe is the first film franchise in history that is so large it needs to be broken up into phases. In case you need reminding, The Avengers and all the movies leading up to it make up Phase One while every movie up to Ant-Man comprises Phase Two.
Come May , Captain America: Civil War will kick off Marvel’s Phase Three with a bang. The film promises to not just introduce a couple of highly-anticipated new heroes (Black Panther and Spider-Man) but also pit the Avengers against one another.
The rest of the upcoming movies will explore those new characters in solo films plus introduce some more new faces, like the Inhumans and Captain Marvel (the first female-centric Marvel movie). Plus, we’ve got sequels starring old favourites like Thor, Ant-Man and the Guardians of the Galaxy. And then it all comes to a head as our heroes assemble to take on Thanos.
