Robert Downey Jr. Reacts To New Avengers: Endgame Promo Art

Earlier today, a new piece of Avengers: Endgame promo art emerged online to tie in with the film’s early China release. The image showed Hawkeye, Thor, Iron Man, Captain America and Ant-Man all staring out at the city of Shanghai while some clouds forming the Avengers-A logo loomed overhead.

Earlier this week, a new piece of Avengers: Endgame promo art emerged online to tie in with the film’s early China release. The image showed Hawkeye, Thor, Iron Man, Captain America and Ant-Man all staring out at the city of Shanghai while some clouds forming the Avengers-A logo loomed overhead.

Now, Robert Downey Jr. has taken to Instagram to share a slight variation on the banner, which removes all the text and features only Tony Stark in some fancy new armor. In the caption, the actor offered the following ambiguous response:

“Hmmm…”

Evidently, Downey isn’t in a particularly talkative mood right now, but the fans have certainly found much to discuss lately, as Marvel takes its marketing to the next level. In just these last few days, for instance, we’ve seen the emergence of a couple of Endgame featurettes, 32 character posters and various international promo art.

Nonetheless, new footage has been in short supply ever since the latest trailer dropped a couple of weeks ago. That may not be such a bad thing, mind you, given how many fans are hoping to go into Endgame knowing as little as possible. And for those keen to see more, just remember that we only have four weeks to wait until release.

In the meantime, it’s likely that Marvel will keep finding new ways to hold the internet’s attention without getting too specific about the actual content of the Avengers: Infinity War sequel. For one thing, it’s currently expected that tickets for Avengers: Endgame will go on sale this coming Tuesday, at which point, the fans will no doubt engage in a frantic scramble for those first seats. After that, you can judge for yourself if the film is worth all the hype when it arrives in theaters on April 26th.
