Ryan Gosling Spotted Meeting With Thor: Love And Thunder Director

It's been several years now since the arrival of Adam Warlock was first teased during the post-credits of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. And thanks to Disney deciding to fire and then rehire director James Gunn for Vol. 3, it's going to be at least a couple more years before the character finally shows up. Or will it?

What if Warlock doesn’t appear in Vol. 3 but instead, makes his grand entrance in Thor: Love and Thunder? Sure, he’d be a better fit for the aforementioned threequel, but a very intriguing meeting took place in Hollywood this week which now has fans furiously speculating that the character may debut in the God of Thunder’s next solo film and not only that, but he’ll be played by Ryan Gosling.

You see, Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi was spotted meeting with Gosling this week and given that the two don’t have any projects together in the works – that we know of (though Ryan has been linked to Akira in the past) – the internet now believes that the A-lister is in talks for an MCU role. And not just any MCU role, but Adam Warlock.

Of course, this meeting could’ve been for something else entirely, but with the director’s next film being Love and Thunder, and Gosling the exact type of star that Marvel would want to play someone like Adam Warlock, the pieces certainly seem to fit. Then again, who knows?

It’s not like there aren’t any other names being linked to the part at the moment. For instance, rumors say that Zac Efron might be in the running to play Adam, something we wouldn’t be opposed to. Then there’s fan art showing us how everyone from Alexander Skarsgard to Game of ThronesNikolaj Coster-Waldau could look in the role. In other words, Ryan Gosling as Adam Warlock is far from a sure thing.

Still, this meeting with Thor: Love and Thunder‘s Taika Waititi certainly has us intrigued and we’ll be sure to let you know if anything comes of it.
