3) Back To School
I realize that a great many of  you are going to want to cry foul about the third entry on a school movie list being a movie about an old guy going back to school that none of you saw or even know about. I have to respond with: what do you think the point of a movie list is? At least once during a list, the point is, discovery. Finding something new. Also, aren’t you all just a wee bit narcissistic to assume that there isn’t at least one sixty-five year old guy reading this and planning on going back to school? Maybe this will give Grandpa the kick in the wrinkly butt he needs.
Plus, Rodney Dangerfield is in this, and a massive amount of modern day comedians wouldn’t exist if this guy didn’t have the balls to do it first. He gets no respect, I tell ya. But I plan on changing that.
Back To School is EXACTLY what it looks like. Rodney Dangerfield ends up having to go back to college. And the film is exactly what you think it would be, especially if you know the Dangerfield shtick. It is silly, dumb, and sexualized. But on top of all of that, the movie is dumb fun, in the way so few movies are dumb fun anymore. Think Naked Gun meets golden age comedy and you have a solid idea of this movie.
Plus, the other point of me having this on the list is to remind you, no matter how bad your school is or how bad of a day you are having, get school out of the way now unless you plan on coming back at 80.
