7 Characters That The Third Star Wars Anthology Film Could Focus On

In April 2013, Disney Chairman Alan Horn made the dreams of millions come true when he announced a range of new plans for the iconic and beloved Star Wars film franchise. The central characters: These formidable soldiers are a specialized Stormtrooper unit, trained in survival skills for all terrains and situations. As Stormtroopers, they are a part of the wider, main ground-force of the Galactic Empire, but as an elite unit, they are a ‘spearhead’ team scoping out forward actions. Their most notable appearance in the Star Wars film franchise to date is in Star Wars Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi, when they engage in a high octane speeder chase sequence through the forests of Endor, with Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker.

The plot: In the style of Sons Of Anarchy, the film follows this tight-knit group of Imperial Scout Troopers as they head out on a mission. But, in the process, the second-in-command uncovers a hidden agenda that runs contrary to the interests of the group.

The director: Peter Berg, who has repeatedly demonstrated an affinity for both action, and complex characterization with films such as Very Bad Things, The Kingdom, Hancock, Battleship and Lone Survivor. In addition, his signature documentary-like shooting style would lend a level of realism to a cops-corruption type story.
