Get To Know Taylor Kitsch As Chon In Oliver Stone’s Savages

Taylor Kitsch is hitting the big screen again and this time he’s starring in Oliver Stone‘s upcoming crime thriller Savages.

The film features an all-star cast which, besides Kitsch, includes Blake Lively, Aaron Johnson, John Travolta, Benicio Del Toro, Salma Hayek, Emile Hirsch and Demian Bichir. Together, they will bring Don Winslow’s best-selling novel to the big screen in style.

Savages definitely looks like a return to form for the always controversial director and though it may not be earning as much buzz as say The Dark Knight Rises, I think this just may be the surprise hit of the summer.  Plus, any project with this much talent is worth a look, right?

For those unfamiliar with the film, check out the plot summary below.

“The film follows Chon (Kitsch), a former Navy SEAL and ex-mercenary who runs a lucrative, peaceful business producing marijuana with his friend and business partner Ben (Johnson). The duo also share a one-of-a-kind love with the extraordinary beauty Ophelia (Lively). Everything is peaceful in their world until the Mexican Baja Cartel decides to move in and demands they partner with them. The pair refuse to give up their turf, but when the merciless head of the BC, Elena (Hayek), and her brutal enforcer, Lado (Del Toro), go after them, they underestimate the unbreakable bond among these three friends.”
