Your Complete Guide To Every Upcoming Movie In The DC Extended Universe

DC Shazam

When’s it out? April 5th, 2019

Who’s involved? Oddly, only Shazam’s villain has been cast so far – with Dwayne Johnson confirmed to be playing Black Adam. Darren Lenke is on scripting duties, while Toby Emmerich is executive producing.

What’s it about? Billy Batson is an ordinary kid – until he says the magic word ‘Shazam!’ whereupon he turns into a herculean adult with all kinds of superpowers. Naturally, it has been confirmed that Shazam will possess a much lighter tone than the likes of BvS.

Verdict: While something like Suicide Squad might seem like the outlier, Shazam is the real odd one out of these movies, as it will surely be much more family friendly than the rest. As such, we are excited to see how DC pull this one off. That said, as it won’t appear for three years, there are a lot of other films on the studio’s slate that we’re more pumped for right now.
