Your Complete Guide To Every Upcoming Movie In The DC Extended Universe

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice might have struggled to win over critics, and its box office total might not be as high as initially predicted, but its middling success is not going to halt the onslaught of DC movies coming up over the next few years.

When’s it out? June 2nd, 2017

Who’s involved? Gal Gadot is in the lead, with Chris Pine as love interest Steve Trevor, Lucy Davis as best friend Etta Candy and Connie Nielsen as Diana Prince’s mother, Queen Hippolyta. Patty Jenkins is directing, from a script by Jason Fuchs.

What’s it about? As hinted at in BvS, Wonder Woman will take place during World War I and reveal just what happened to cause Diana to retreat from Man’s World until the events of that movie. Unlike a lot of these solo films, it will be an origin story.

Verdict: Gadot’s Diana Prince was a breath of fresh air in the otherwise testosterone-filled Batman V Superman, therefore we can’t wait to see her headline her own film. The eponymous Amazon has somehow never had her own movie before, despite being 75 years old, so hopefully it will be worth the long, long wait.
