Disney shares new details on real-life ‘Rogers: The Musical’

The World's Mightiest Heroes will be performing live this summer.

The Walt Disney Company has revealed more details for the highly anticipated real-life adaptation of Rogers: The Musical. This superhero ensemble that was first introduced in the Disney Plus series Hawkeye will not be heading to Broadway, but instead will be localized in Disney theme parks.

According to the official Disney Parks blog, Rogers: The Musical will be making its way to The Hyperion at Disney California Adventure Park this year in June. In preparation for this epic live performance, teaser videos were shared across Disney’s social media accounts, hyping up the upcoming musical featuring the world’s greatest heroes.

This musical will be 30 minutes long, sharing the tale of Captain America, from his service as a soldier in World War II to his time as Captain America. Expect various Marvel characters to sing on stage, including Nick Fury. Songs such as “Star Spangled Man” from the first Captain America movie, and the fan favorite “Save the City,” featured in Hawkeye, will be included in the live stage performance. Disney has also confirmed that five new songs were written for this musical.

Since the release of the Hawkeye Disney Plus series, there have been calls to make Rogers: The Musical a reality. Prior to the Disneyland debut, fans got a glimpse of Rogers: The Musical during the D23 Expo back in Sept. 2022 with a live-stage performance of “Save The City.” By late February 2023, Disney confirmed that a musical will be made and details for the musical’s production were leaked online two years prior.
