Tiesto & KSHMR ft. Vassy - SecretsTiesto dropped "Secrets" on us last month and as one of his best tracks in a while, it instantly became a massive hit. And, after hearing it on the live stage at Ultra this past weekend, we can assure you that this one is destined for much festival play, and deservedly so.
With a “blinding melody, irresistible vocals, and speaker-smashing production,” the track was born for the main stage. Blaring horns, piercing kicks and huge synths only further cement its status as a bonafide banger.
Kygo ft. Parson James - Stole The ShowAfter the massive success of his first original single, Firestone, fans were eager to hear what Kygo had whipped up for his second effort. After teasing an ID in a recent trailer for Ultra Music Festival last month, which many expected to be his next release, the Norwegian producer instead gave us "Stole The Show."
Featuring the soulful vocals of Parson James, the track stays true to Kygo’s signature style. James’ strong vocals kick things off and drive a beautiful melody before those familiar tropical house sounds come in to break things up a bit, turning “Stole The Show” into the perfect song for those upcoming sunshine-filled months.
Martin Garrix ft. Usher - Don't Look DownMartin Garrix is on a seemingly unstoppable roll as of late. The young producer has a ton of new music coming up, most of which will appear on his first artist album, and after hearing a number of his unreleased tracks at Ultra a couple of days ago, we could not be more excited to check out the full thing.
One track which we've already fallen in love with though is "Don't Look Down," which features the soothing vocals of pop star Usher.
Though a bit of a departure from his typical sound, the young producer has given us a radio-friendly tune infused with a bit of tropical house, thanks to some synthesized bells which do work well here, but certainly sound out of place in a Garrix song.
Still, we can't get enough of it and given the reception it got at Ultra, we're fairly confident that "Don't Look Down" is going to be another massive hit.
Major Lazer ft. DJ Snake - Lean OnMajor Lazer, one of EDM's most exciting acts, is gearing up to release their new album, and last month they teased the first track off of it. The high energy and infectious "Lean On" features DJ Snake and both artists’ influences are definitely felt here.
The funky moombahton vibes shine through brightly in this banger as MØ’s rich vocals and a high octave break keep things feeling fresh. It’s a bit more mellow and downtempo than what we typically hear from Major Lazer and DJ Snake, but we're absolutely loving it so far.
Audien ft. Parson James - InsomniaAnother excellent single from talented producer Audien hit the web last month. Titled "Insomnia," the progressive house song boasts a high energy that makes it instantly infectious, and with a catchy array of keyboard chords, it’s very easy to move to.
Also of note is Parson James, who gets a real chance to show off his voice here and absolutely nails it, emerging as a promising talent to watch out for on the EDM scene.
Madeon - HomeAs Madeon's most personal song to date, "Home" is a beautiful and touching effort from the immensely talented French producer. As one of the standout tracks on his debut album, Adventure, the tune actually features Hugo's vocals, which compliment the pop-y chords perfectly, making for another stunning effort from the young prodigy.
Axwell / Ingrosso - On My WayAxwell / Ingrosso have been delivering one massive track after another in recent months, and with On My Way, we've received another fresh sounding song from the former Swedish House Mafia members.
Boasting an emotional piano melody to kick things off, infectious vocals by frequent Avicii collaborator Salem Al Fakir, and an electro-infused drop that will have dance floors shaking, the festival-ready anthem was absolutely electrifying when we heard it at Ultra last weekend.
