A new single from Tha Carter IV dropped today. Titled She Will, the new Lil Wayne track features fellow Young Money member Drake and is produced by T-Minus. The track comes mere hours after Weezy revealed the official tracklisting for the album.

It’s a somber and ominous beat that provides for a slow burn as Lil Wayne does his usual thing, dropping lines like “I been at the top for a while and I ain’t jump yet/ But I’m Ray Charles to the bullshit,” before Drizzy takes over for the hook.

The song is classic Weezy and I think most fans will be happy with what’s offered here. It’s a bit more toned down than some of his other stuff and may be too dark or controlled for some but after a few listens, I’m giving this one the thumbs up.

Being a highly anticipated track, I do think Weezy and Drake could have done a bit more with it as it is one of the album’s bigger songs. That being said, I’m not disappointed with the final product and I already have this one on repeat in my iTunes.

Give it a listen and see what you think.

Be sure to check out Tha Carter IV on August 29th.
