Pegboard Nerds maintained a busy release schedule in 2016, delivering some major collaborations like their Krewella/NGHTMRE pair up “Superstar,” in addition to linking up with Snails on “Deep In The Night.” Ahead of their upcoming EP, the Scandinavian duo have now offered up their latest song, “Melodymania,” to round out the year.
On their latest offering, Pegboard Nerds rekindle a fondness for progressive house with an exceptionally uplifting dancefloor tune. The new single kicks off with a catchy synth melody that serves as the backbone of “Melodymania,” backed by a thumping rhythm section and a restrained bassline. Around the halfway mark, the drums drop out to make way for a tuneful breakdown before cycling through the drop a final time.
“Melodymania” features the kind of intricately designed production we’ve come to expect from Pegboard Nerds. Driven by its melodically charged sound and some undeniable dancefloor grooves, the duo’s latest single is sure to please fans.
