Earlier this week, we reported that a 24-year-old woman had jumped overboard during Mad Decent Boat Party. The individual was later identified as Kaylyn Sommer, and while a search had been underway for the past few days, it has now come to an end.
The US Coast Guard reportedly covered 1,378 square nautical miles and unfortunately, was unable to locate the body.

The Coast Guard also released the following statement in regards to suspending the search.
“Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to the loved ones affected by this terrible tragedy. We are all sons and daughters, and many of our responders have young children themselves. Suspending search efforts is always a painful decision, particularly when it involves a young mother,” said Capt. Todd Coggeshall, Incident Management Chief at the Coast Guard’s Seventh District.
