After announcing that there would be an opera stage this year at Tomorrowland, with the National Orchestra of Belgium performing, ID&T have made another surprising reveal: There will be a dedicated Sven Väth & Cocoon Recordings vinyl-only stage. The techno god's label will be hosting the stage on Saturday, hoping to give festivalgoers a breath of fresh air amidst all the main stage music that will surely dominate the lineups.

After announcing that there would be an opera stage at Tomorrowland this year, with the National Orchestra of Belgium performing, ID&T have made another surprising reveal: There will be a dedicated Sven Väth & Cocoon Recordings vinyl-only stage. The techno god’s label will be hosting the stage on Saturday, hoping to give festivalgoers a breath of fresh air amidst all the mainstream music that will surely dominate the lineup.

A full list of artists playing on Väth’s stage has not been revealed yet, but it’s certainly refreshing to see Tomorrowland pushing some diversity into the festival. It’s clear that they’re trying to appeal to a wider crowd this year and do something different, and that’s definitely commendable. While I’m sure that many people are waiting with baited breath to see who will be headlining the Belgium fest this summer, I think I’m more interested in hearing more of these “unexpected” announcements.

Tell us, will you be checking out Sven’s stage this year? Sound off below!
