A passenger tries to open the exit door after the flight is stranded at the gate, but the Frontier flight attendant pushes her instead

Complete chaos ensued inside the aircraft.

A passenger in a Frontier Airlines aircraft appeared to try to open the plane’s exit door, but a flight attendant pushed her back after the plane landed at the Atlanta airport. The incident followed a broken jet bridge that allegedly left travelers stuck on board for up to an hour without air conditioning, according to Paddle Your Own Kanoo. In a 13-second TikTok clip by @tavi.dinero, a woman in a gray hoodie stood at the exit door and yelled at the crew to open it.

As the woman pushed at the door, the flight attendant wrapped his arms around her, pushed her back, and tried to calm her down. Despite only getting physically involved in the situation for the woman’s safety, a fellow passenger can be heard repeatedly screaming at the flight attendant: “Don’t put your f——— hands on her.” The flight attendant pleaded for a second to figure out how to open the door as the passengers gathered around him. It seems that other flight attendants tried to explain what was going on but couldn’t be heard over the sound of the passengers.

“@Frontier Airlines in ATL COUNT Your Days !!!!! This happened Last night 10/07/26,” @tavi.dinero captioned the post. The user said that once the plane reached the gate, the crew shut off the engines and lights, leaving no air conditioning circulating through the cabin and only the emergency lights switched on.

Maintenance issue only made it worse inside the aircraft

The person who posted the video explained the situation further in a comment on TikTok: “They let the first class off and cut the plane off, and the pilots got off. After 30 minutes of sitting there with no air or water or light, one of the ladies started hyperventilating, passing out, and her body was shaking, completely unresponsive, and they still wouldn’t open the door.”

As it turns out, the woman in the gray hoodie just happened to be the daughter who saw his mother almost lose consciousness. The poster wrote: “That girl is panicking bc [because] her mother was unresponsive for 5-8 mins [minutes] and they STILL DIDN’T OPEN THE DOOR. She was trying to beat on the door, not open it bc there was a Frontier worker standing on the other side of the door.”

A Frontier Airlines spokesperson told Paddle Your Own Kanoo that Flight 2052 landed at Hartsfield-Jackson 20 minutes early and taxied to the gate. The jet bridge appeared to attach to the forward exit door as normal, and the first passengers began exiting the plane. However, “a mechanical issue caused the jet bridge to become misaligned with the cabin door,” preventing everyone from leaving the plane until maintenance fixed the problem.

Ground staff stopped the deplaning process to resolve the issue and ensure passenger safety. Unfortunately, the process took a lot longer than planned.

The spokesperson insisted: “Announcements were made to keep passengers apprised of what was happening. Once the jet bridge was safely repaired and reconnected, deplaning continued. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and discomfort that arose during this process. We are continuing to seek further details.”
