Pentagon invited Jake and Logan Paul to speak to troops, and thanked them for ‘their visit and continued support of our military’

This visit, which took place last Thursday, included a tour of the building and a stop at the 9/11 memorial. The brothers, who built their careers as content creators on YouTube before transitioning into boxing and finance, shared their own photos of the trip on Instagram.

The Pentagon confirmed that the pair met with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth during their stay in Washington, D.C. Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Joel Valdez provided a statement regarding the event, saying, “The Department of War was proud to host Jake and Logan Paul at the Pentagon this week. They toured the building, paid their respects at our 9/11 memorial, thanked our service members, and briefly met with Secretary Hegseth.”

Valdez added that the department is grateful for their visit and continued support of our military. It is interesting to note that the official used the unofficial nickname for the Department of Defense in that statement. The Department of Defense also shared its own content on social media on Sunday, including videos of the brothers addressing uniformed troops.

The exact purpose of the visit remains unclear

It was confirmed that the brothers covered the costs of their own transportation for the trip. Beyond their time at the Pentagon, Jake Paul also held a meeting with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent while in the city.

This engagement continues a broader trend of the Defense Department building ties with influencers and celebrities. We have seen similar outreach efforts recently, such as when the military recruited troops to attend a UFC fight held on the White House lawn earlier this summer. Secretary Hegseth has also been visible in these types of interactions, notably taking an Apache helicopter flight with Kid Rock after reversing a suspension that had been placed on the flight crews for buzzing the musician’s home.
