‘That makes me screwed’: Danica Patrick jokes about dating life while staying single after ’emotionally abusive’ Aaron Rodgers split

Single and joking about it.

Former race car driver and model Danica Patrick has confirmed she is currently single during a recent appearance on the Believe in the Good podcast, hosted by Haley Dillon, wife of NASCAR driver Ty Dillon. The revelation comes shortly after Patrick made headlines for describing her previous relationship with NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers as “emotionally abusive.”

According to People, during the podcast conversation, when directly asked about her relationship status by Dillon, Patrick, 43, responded affirmatively that she was single. The exchange was lighthearted, with Dillon suggesting that people might try to reach Patrick through her social media messages.

“That makes me screwed, so screwed,” Patrick joked in response, adding “Not literally either.” The casual banter marked a notably different tone from her recent serious revelations about her past relationship with Rodgers.

Patrick opens up about emotional trauma from Rodgers relationship

Just two weeks before the podcast appearance, Patrick had shared deeply personal details about her relationship with Rodgers on The Sage Steele Show. When asked about her greatest pain, she identified the 2020 breakup with Rodgers as the most significant, describing it as sudden and devastating because they had been living together.

Patrick revealed that the nature of the relationship had worn her down significantly, affecting her confidence and self-belief. She stated that “everything was torn to bits” and suggested that Rodgers “leaves a trail of blood,” though she indicated that her revelations weren’t particularly surprising given previous public information about their relationship.

The couple’s history dates back to their first meeting at the 2012 ESPYs, though they didn’t begin dating until January 2018. Their relationship progressed to the point of purchasing a home together in Malibu, California, before ultimately ending in July 2020. Rodgers’ representatives have not responded to requests for comment regarding Patrick’s allegations.

Moving forward, Patrick appears to be focusing on personal growth and positivity. She even had a cameo in a Netflix feature. During her appearance on Dillon’s podcast, she shared her current life philosophy, emphasizing two main principles: planning more fun activities and maintaining gratitude. This approach suggests a deliberate shift toward healing and personal well-being following the challenging period after her split from Rodgers.
