A FedEx courier has incurred the wrath of TikTok after viral footage showed the delivery driver ranting to himself about cats and cat owners while aggressively throwing the cat litter the homeowner had ordered onto the ground.
The video was captured by a doorbell camera, and in it the FedEx driver steps out of the delivery truck with two boxes of cat litter in his hands. As he walks across the front yard, he is heard shouting, “Get off my f—ing truck!” He then throws the boxes of Chewy-brand cat litter on the ground outside the front door and stomps off to bring another box, talking to himself as he does so.
As he returns with a third box, he can clearly be heard saying, “I hate inside cats.” After aggressively throwing the third box outside the door and taking a photo, he mutters to himself, “I hate cat people.” As he walks away, it sounds as though he says, “I love cats, hate cat people.”
The original poster, “K B” also claimed that the packages were beyond damaged due to the FedEx courier’s carelessness. However, in a comment, they claimed that Chewy had provided them with more cat litter free of charge.
TikTok thinks the FedEx driver was overreacting
People on TikTok naturally questioned why the FedEx driver seemed so unreasonably upset. “When you apply it literally says a lifting requirement….why are they surprised a package can be heavy,” wrote one commenter who assumed the driver was angry over the weight of the boxes.
Another commenter who claimed to be a former FedEx driver claimed that the poor packaging used by Chewy often split and made a mess, which might have been what tipped this courier over the edge. Regardless of the driver’s reason for his anger, most agreed it doesn’t excuse him damaging the packages he’s delivering
There were calls for “K B” to report the courier to FedEx as people took the opportunity to criticize the delivery service. Commenters also recommended the OP send the video to Chewy as well.
Other commenters claimed that this was a regular occurrence with FedEx and Chewy deliveries specifically: “I worked at chewy’s call center for a while,” claimed one person, “and genuinely almost all of my calls were delivery complaints.” Plenty of customers also had their own horror stories: “My delivery man hates our chewy deliveries too. Every two weeks. I order often and he’s always mad.”
Viewers also questioned why Chewy continues to use FedEx as a delivery service, as they claim that incidents such as this one happen too often to be ignored.
