Louisiana Popeyes staff joyfully films himself contaminating raw chicken with massive farts, then people realize what they are eating: ‘so gross’

A TikTok video from @akrentscicc88 has reached 2.4 million views while describing an alleged kitchen incident at a Popeyes in Louisiana. The video said a worker filmed himself in a raw chicken storage area and later appeared to cook and serve that same chicken.

On-screen text read, “Popeyes Employee Fired After Farting on Raw Chicken and Serving It to Customers.” The voiceover explained that a Black Popeyes employee in Louisiana was fired and could face a lawsuit after he farted on raw chicken and served it to customers.

The recap said the episode started when the worker posted a video online. Footage showed a person in a red shirt and dark pants bending over a metal container.

According to the clip, the worker walked into the restaurant’s raw chicken storage area, opened a package of uncooked chicken, sat on it, and farted on the food. A split screen placed that scene beside a close-up of a Popeyes chicken sandwich.

The narrator alleged that the worker appeared to take the same chicken, cook it in the fryer, and serve it to customers. A later shot showed a man in a grey polo eating fried chicken while the words “fired” and “lawsuit” appeared on screen.

The recap said some customers found the clip a few days later. After watching it carefully, they realized the person in the video was the same worker who had prepared their meals that day, the voiceover explained.

Those customers said they immediately felt disgusted and sick after realizing they might have eaten the chicken shown in the video. The footage also showed Popeyes food, including a box of fried chicken and fries, and a close-up of uncooked chicken being breaded. Food safety concerns at Popeyes are not new, as a Houston man allegedly found a used condom baked into his fried chicken order.

Customers brought the evidence to the restaurant and contacted Popeyes corporate, demanding compensation and an investigation, the video reported. It also showed a man in a suit speaking at a podium and a man in a purple shirt and Popeyes cap talking with a security guard.

Popeyes reportedly fired the employee and hired lawyers to take legal action against him, the recap claimed. Later images included a man in a black balaclava taking a mirror selfie and a Popeyes restaurant sign. The incident highlights ongoing concerns about food handling at the chain, though other customer complaints focus on different issues, such as when a man checks his bag at Popeyes and finds a problem with how an employee treats him.

After the clip spread, many people said this was why they avoid fast food, because customers never know what happens in the kitchen before food is served. Others said anyone who intentionally does something like this should face serious consequences.

Viewers left mixed reactions under the video. One person wrote they would cry if they found out their chicken had been treated that way. Another called the alleged act high risk with no reward. A third wrote, “That’s actually sick like generally who does this.”
