Man orders every cocktail on the menu at Texas Roadhouse. Then he learns exactly how many drinks it takes for the server to cut him off.

“I didn’t have my sober face on. She might know I’m drunk."

One man set out to get blackout drunk at Texas Roadhouse by ordering every cocktail on the menu. On TikTok, Jay (@realhybridjay) documents his quest to see how many drinks he can order before getting cut off. “I’m at Texas Roadhouse, and we’re ordering every cocktail on the menu until they cut me off,” Jay announces.

Jay starts with a Long Island Iced Tea. “Oh boy, I’m gonna be getting drunk bad,” he says, gulping it down. He moves on to a strawberry margarita, which he finds even stronger. “That’s literally stronger than the first one. It’s not gonna take long for me to black out in this Texas Roadhouse,” he remarks.

The third drink, the Jamaican Cowboy, goes straight down, with Jay describing the taste as similar to a peach vape. After three drinks, Jay starts to feel tipsy. Next is the Hurricane margarita, after which he admits, “Guess what? I’m drunk.” Jay then chugs the Porch Rocker as his fifth cocktail, followed by the original margarita. With six drinks down, he begins to feel the effects and worries he made a mistake by making eye contact with the server: “I didn’t have my sober face on. She might know I’m drunk,” he confesses.

Eight drinks is the limit

Still, Jay manages to get a seventh drink—an unnamed bluish cocktail. “I’m afraid for the bill, and I’m afraid for my liver,” he admits. Feeling on the verge of a blackout, he orders one more. “She brought the eighth one out and told me I couldn’t order anymore. This cowboy has been cut off,” Jay says. The final cocktail is a Midnight Sour. “Eighth drink down. We just broke the seven-drink record. I’m cut off, and I’m going home.”

Over-serving customers poses legal and civil risks for bars and restaurants, according to FSR Magazine. Most states allow prosecutions against establishments that serve visibly intoxicated patrons. While some customers may conceal their drunkenness, staff must monitor drink counts and guest behavior. A Texas Roadhouse spokesperson told BroBible, “We have strict responsible alcohol service procedures. As a result of the video, we are investigating the service provided to this guest.”

Nonetheless, viewers in the comment section couldn’t believe how Jay managed to crush all these drinks. “‘We’re getting blackout drunk in this Texas Roadhouse’ is the most American thing I’ve ever heard,” one TikTok commenter wrote. “I would be projectile vomiting like the exorcist,” another chimed in.

Other viewers zeroed in on his first drink of choice, the Long Island Iced Tea. “I woke up in jail after 3 Texas Roadhouse long islands,” one shared. “Starting with a Long Island is diabolical,” another commented. “After being a server at Texas Roadhouse, I can’t believe they served you this many lol,” a third wrote.

This isn’t the first time Jay has attempted a drinking challenge. Billing himself as a hybrid athlete, he’s also posted videos testing how many drinks it takes to get cut off at Applebee’s. He also has multiple videos on TikTok downing hard liquor while running 5K.
