10 Characters Who Could Appear In Legends Of Tomorrow Season 3

The CW's Legends of Tomorrow is a gift for DC fans. As a time-travelling show that stars a bunch of lesser-known characters from the DC universe, it frequently brings in heroes that no one else is really doing anything else with. For instance, season 1 played with people like Hawkman, Hawkgirl and Jonah Hex, while season 2 introduced the Justice Society of America.

At the end of Legends season 2, the Waverider crew found out that their earlier actions in the finale had apparently “broke time.” When they arrive in Los Angeles, 2017, they discover the city is made up of buildings from across history and dinosaurs roam the streets. To classic DC fans, this will bring one cult hero to mind: Kamandi.

Created by the King himself Jack Kirby, Kamandi is also known as The Last Boy on Earth. He hails from a post-apocalyptic world where humanity has been wiped out after a mysterious “Great Disaster” and intelligent animals now rule the planet. Now, the timeline introduced in Legends’ finale doesn’t exactly match up with Kamandi’s in the comics, but it is similar enough to suggest the character could put in an appearance next season.

Marc Guggenheim has even admitted that he and his team have talked about the possibility of adapting Kamandi in season 3. Let’s hope they do, as it would be the perfect time for the character to make his big-screen debut. After all, 2017 is the 100th anniversary of Kirby’s birth.
