10 Marvel Characters Who Should Be A Priority For Netflix After The Defenders

Since the debut of Daredevil in 2015, Marvel has delivered hit after hit on Netflix. Season 2 of that series was met with widespread critical acclaim, as were the rookie outings for Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. Next year, we'll see the release of Iron Fist, The Punisher and The Defenders on the online streaming service, but what should come after that?

Blade

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige recently revealed that while they have the rights to Blade back, there currently aren’t any plans to do anything with the vampire hunting hero. That may be somewhat disappointing, but it’s hard to imagine where a character like this could fit into the Marvel Cinematic Universe as it currently stands.

On Netflix though, vampires showing up would be easy to believe, especially if they end up being introduced as gangsters that a hero like Daredevil or Luke Cage goes after (thereby resulting in them crossing paths with Blade while he’s in town).

From there, a solo spinoff similar to what the online streaming service has done with The Punisher would be the most logical path, and as the first two movies proved, there’s a lot of potential for an anti-hero like this on the small screen.
