It wasn't perfect, but for the most part, the first season of Legends of Tomorrow exceeded expectations. Going on a trip through time with characters like Rip Hunter, The Atom, and Hawkgirl proved to be a lot of fun, while The CW giving the Arrow/The Flash spinoff plenty of money to play with ensured that it always impressed visually.

It’s already been confirmed that the Thanagarians won’t play a role in Legends of Tomorrow when it returns, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t get to meet some other alien races along the way. As fun as time travel can be, it’s been established that the Waverider is capable of travelling into outer space too, so there’s really no reason why we won’t get to enjoy seeing the team going on some cosmic adventures which still fit within the budget of a TV show.
