7 TV Shows That DC Should Make After Supergirl

While Marvel took over the known world with its superhero blockbusters, their closest rival DC snuck in through the back door and quietly invaded our homes through the medium of television. Thanks largely to the impressive work of producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kreisberg, we're now living in a golden age of TV shows based on superheroes. Comic book geeks have never had it so good... aside from that time Black Widow was all tied up at the beginning of Avengers Assemble... and when Chris Evans frequently lost his clothes in Captain America: The First Avenger... and when - argh stop me now.

Despite his crappy name, Booster Gold is one of the more underrated heroes of the DC universe and has gained a cult following in recent years due to his unusual backstory. While most of the DC pantheon became heroes through hard work and sacrifice, Booster Gold is a fame hungry time traveler who stole powerful technology and traveled from the future to become a legendary superhero.

Seeking fame rather than justice, Booster Gold may not be the most obvious hero to helm his own show, but in a world where people would rather become an online viral sensation than actually work to achieve their goals, Booster Gold is more relevant than ever. Following his well received appearance in the final season of Smallville and the introduction of time travel on The Flash, now is the perfect time to give the arrogant hero his very own show.

Fortunately, The Flash’s executive producer Geoff Johns clearly agrees;

“There’s no rights issues and quite honestly Andrew and Greg have a great Booster Gold script, and Booster Gold’s a beloved character, so I would say chances are good.”

Following a failed attempt by Syfy to kickstart a Booster Gold show, it’s encouraging to know that the Arrowverse team are still considering the time traveler for a guest spot or even more for.

Still not sold? Check out the Justice League Unlimited episode titled “The Greatest Story Never Told” for a glimpse of the characters potential on the small screen.. and then watch all of the other episodes because it’s the Justice League, and they’re awesome.
