5) Police Station Confrontation
Kilgrave makes his presence felt in Jessica Jones early on in some very disturbing and uncomfortable scenes, and while flashbacks effectively spell out the history he shares with the hero, it’s not until she comes up with a hair brained scheme to take him down that they come face to face in a police station.
Showing off the full extent of his powers, Kilgrave has commanded everyone in the room to point their weapons at each other, and the conversation he shares with Jessica turns the entire series on its head as we learn that instead of wanting to kill her, he’s actually in love with her and hoping to win her back.
This establishes him not only as being totally deranged, but also deviously clever, and it’s hard not to watch this moment on the edge of your seat as you wait for him to utter a sentence which once again puts her under his control.
