2) Luke Cage vs. Jessica Jones
Jessica Jones may not have as much action as Daredevil, but when it did delve into that area, the series really delivered.
A real highlight came when Kilgrave revealed that he had Luke Cage under his control, pitting the man with unbreakable skin against his old flame. As they both have super strength, this one played out as epically as you might imagine, with walls shattering, furniture decimated, and the ground quite literally shaking, all as a grinning Kilgrave looked on with glee.
Jessica Jones‘ story is compelling enough not to need action scenes every episode, and the decision to hold off on them actually really paid off with this sequence, as it made it all the more special and fun to watch.
Plus, if this was just a taste of what we should expect to see in Luke Cage next year when that character heads into action, we’re definitely in for a real treat.
