Daredevil season two was certainly a largely satisfying run, as it further explored the lives of Matt Murdock and his friends and enemies, as well as expanding on the series’ mythology.

6) What Happened In Karen’s Past?

As we just mentioned, Matt wasn’t the only one keeping secrets, as Karen has never told him about the tragic events of her past that have been hinted at over the two seasons.

Firstly, we know that she is no stranger to fire arms, and that she is bizarrely comfortable – or at least able to handle herself well – in stressful situations. She has also talked about her brother in the past tense on occasion.

We got our biggest clue towards her mysterious past in a newspaper clipping that Ben Urich had apparently dug up. It only appears on screen for a second but, with the amazing power of the pause button, you can see that it talks of the death of a teenager who crashed his car.

Presumably this is Karen’s brother. Is she responsible for his death? And if so, how?
