Daredevil season two was certainly a largely satisfying run, as it further explored the lives of Matt Murdock and his friends and enemies, as well as expanding on the series’ mythology.

4) Is Elektra Really The Black Sky?

Episode 12 of season two revealed the surprise that the mysterious Black Sky, who the Hand believe will make them unstoppable, was in fact Elektra. But what does this actually mean?

Fans had previously theorised that the Black Sky is a particularly powerful inhuman (a super-powered being), yet Elektra doesn’t seem to have any special abilities – other than a general knack for martial arts and killing people.

So is she actually the Black Sky, or is Matt right and it’s just a myth? If she is, though, who was that kid from season one that Stick apparently killed? Was he just a backup Black Sky in case Elektra couldn’t be acquired?

As the end of the season suggests that the Hand will bring her back to life, another pressing question is whether Elektra will return as a villain in season three.

With Nobu decapitated, that would seem likely…
