Julian has ended up being one of the best parts of The Flash‘s third season, and while he’s been a great addition to the team, there’s still plenty of reasons for us not to trust him. His appearance following the events of “Flashpoint” is definitely suspicious, while Savitar mentioning that it was that event which opened the door to his return is definitely of interest given the timing of Julian’s debut.

Throw in his ties to the Philosopher’s Stone and Dr. Alchemy and it wouldn’t be remotely surprising if his story of being used as a pawn is just a cover. A twist like this would come as a huge blow to fans who have started falling in love with the character, not to mention the likes of Caitlin and Barry. Julian sticking around would certainly be good, but it’s far too soon to take him out of the running for Savitar – no matter how innocent he appears to be.
