8 Theories About Savitar’s True Identity In The Flash Season 3

When Savitar first appeared in season 3 of The Flash, it appeared as if he would be little more than the self-proclaimed God of Speed he said he was. Since then, it's become clear that he ties into the Scarlet Speedster's mythology in a much bigger way and that he has an identity which, when revealed, will blow the minds of both fans and Barry Allen.

Who? This Earth-19 version of The Flash made a blink and you’ll miss it appearance during a recent episode where we learned that Gypsy is working with him, so it’s entirely feasible that he’ll follow her to Earth-1 and somehow wind up trapped inside the Speed Force. We know so little about him that it may seem like we’re jumping the gun here, but I for one certainly don’t think that he was thrown in for a simple cameo appearance and nothing more.

Sure, it made for a fun Easter Egg, but the Scarlet Speedster’s actions spelling doom for him or the Accelerated Man having some dubious motivations are two suggestions which make perfect sense. The fact this character is essentially a complete unknown could lessen the impact of the ultimate reveal of him being Savitar, but it might still make for an interesting path for season three of The CW series to go down.
