Much of Arrow's fifth season has revolved around who Prometheus is, but Adrian Chase being beneath the mask left everyone reeling. That's because the comic book version of the character is better known as Vigilante and most assumed Chase would at some point be revealed as being the mysterious and violent anti-hero.

Both Legends of Tomorrow and The Flash have shown us the impact of time travel, but Barry Allen’s decision to create a new timeline actually had a pretty significant impact on Team Arrow. John Diggle’s baby daughter was replaced with a toddler named John Jr. who will one day become Green Arrow in a potential future, but what if Vigilante has also been created as a result of Flashpoint?

If that’s the case, it’s hard to say exactly who might be beneath the mask, but the series has the opportunity here to deliver a massive time travel related twist that no one would see coming. Vigilante could hail from that alternate timeline and may have somehow survived the changes in the same way Wally West was able to become Kid-Flash again. It could even be that the Scarlet Speedster’s actions have turned a character we all know and love into Vigilante, like the hero featured on the next page…
