Better Call Saul: Saul Goodman’s 8 Greatest Breaking Bad Moments

Few were surprised by the news that the man that created Walter White would be gifting us with a spinoff show called Better Call Saul. It can be argued that Breaking Bad is the greatest television show ever made. In fact, it has been demonstrated repeatedly, since its debut in September 2008, that Vince Gilligan’s multiple award-winning drama is a work of utter brilliance. The story of a seemingly mild-mannered chemistry teacher and his transformation into the most feared crystal meth dealer ever known captured the imagination of millions of fans around the globe – thanks in no small part to the phenomenal writing, the breathtaking direction, and the stellar performances.

(Season Three, Episode 11) – Meeting Skyler

Recommended Videos

Walt’s wife, Skyler, is becoming more involved in his ‘business interests’ – in particular, the money laundering side of the operation. That being the case, she insists on meeting Saul Goodman, who is instrumental in that process.

Having spent time in his chaotic waiting room, Skyler and Walt head into Saul’s inner sanctum, where he turns on the Goodman charm.

“Hello. Welcome. What a pleasure it is to have you. I’m just going to call you Skyler if that’s okay? It’s a lovely name. Reminds me of a big beautiful sky. Walter never told me how lucky he was – prior to recent unfortunate events. Clearly his taste in women is the same as his taste in lawyers – only the very best…with just the right amount of dirty.”

As Walter rolls his eyes, and Skyler stares in disbelief, Saul backtracks – insisting that he’s joking because “you are so clearly…very classy.”

(Season Four, Episode 13) – Anal polyps

BreakingBadJesseArrested

Jesse has been arrested and is being interrogated in a holding room. Saul Goodman breezes in with his usual gusto, drawing the detectives’ attention to the fact that the law dictates they shouldn’t be questioning him at all at that time. Closing the door behind them, Saul turns his exasperated gaze to Jesse.

“God, you two. All I know is if I ever get anal polyps, I’ll know what to call them.”
