DC TV Roundup: Of Speedsters And VFX Woes

While Marvel and DC battle to see who wins at the box office, it’s virtually inarguable that it's the latter who dominates the small screen. Now having taken over four nights of the week when it comes to prime time programming, serialized superhero storytelling has swiftly become a cornerstone in the lives of many a geek these days.

Well, it looks like my hopes for seeing Dean Cain playing Cyborg Superman were dashed – at least for now.

On this past Monday’s episode of Supergirl, we pretty much got confirmation that Jeremiah Danvers has been working under duress, and he even ended up betraying Cadmus by siding with his daughter, Alex, in her fearless raid on an old LuthorCorp compound. In the process, they and Kara averted an attempt to send a ship full of alien refugees to Takron Galtos (that’s a prison planet, for those of you less acquainted with comic book lore).

Somewhat related to that was Kara getting fired from her day job at CatCo after publishing an article she was instructed not to on a personal blog. Honestly, I think this is for the better because that company and setting are becoming increasingly less important as the series stretches on. It may very well be for the better if she collects a paycheck from the DEO from here on out.
