DC TV Roundup: Supergirl Finds Love, The Flash Is Welcomed To The Jungle

While Marvel and DC battle to see who wins at the box office, it’s virtually inarguable that it's the latter who dominates the small screen. Now having taken over four nights of the week when it comes to prime time programming, serialized superhero storytelling has swiftly become a cornerstone in the lives of many a geek these days.

4) Camelot/3000… But Mostly Just Camelot

This week DC’s Legends of Tomorrow got a bit ambitious by traveling to not one, but two distinctly different time periods. The first happened to be Detroit in the year 3000 and, by the ghost of RoboCop, my home city is looking pretty fabulous nearly 1,000 years into the future.

Most unfortunate for me, though, that trip lasted but a few minutes. I was certainly hoping for some Legion of Superheroes Easter eggs because that team is tailor made for this show. But even though they didn’t pop up here, let’s not rule out them showing up in season 3.

As for the rest of the episode, the Waverider crew donned their best Ren Fest costumes and traveled back to medieval England in an attempt to continue thwarting the Legion of Doom’s plans. And although I’m not necessarily a fan of the time period/genre they dabbled in, I’ll admit this homage to Mike W. Barr and Brian Bolland’s classic comic, Camelot 3000, was pulled off rather well.
