Arrow Brandon Routh

Ray Palmer a.k.a. The Atom, is already played by Brandon Routh on Arrow. Luckily, that means that there’s a great chance he’ll show up on The Flash at some point as well.

A character like Ray Palmer almost feels more at home on a series like The Flash than he does on the more dark and gritty corner of the TV universe that Arrow inhabits. Granted, he gives the latter series a much-needed sense of humor and lightheartedness, but that doesn’t mean he can’t offer The Flash something as well.

We’ve already heard rumors that Palmer will suit up on The Flash instead of on Arrow, which makes sense from a story perspective. Arrow is, as I mentioned before, the more grounded of the two series, and has – for the most part – shied away from the inclusion of superpowers. As such, if Ray is going to suit up as the size-changing Justice Leaguer, it’ll happen on The Flash.

Plus, it’d be fun to see the tech mogul meet up with the S.T.A.R. Labs employees, and might even have more to offer them than someone like Felicity Smoak.
