The CW has released the first official images from next week’s episode of The Flash, and they revolve around the debut of the new Firestorm. He’ll be played by Franz Drameh, an actor who will make his debut as Jefferson “Jax” Jackson before going on to star in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

Those of you who are fans of the Ronnie Raymond version don’t need to worry too much though, as the actor recently dropped a pretty major hint that he’ll be reprising that role in The Flash somewhere down the line.

Here’s an official description of “The Fury of Firestorm,” courtesy of The CW:

Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team look for another Firestorm match for Dr. Stein (Victor Garber). When the team meets Jefferson “Jax” Jackson (guest star Franz Drameh), Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) has her reservations about whether Jax is the right match for Dr. Stein. Iris (Candice Patton) surprises Joe (Jesse L. Martin) while Barry and Patty (guest star Shantel VanSanten) grow closer.

Notable by his absence in these images is Tom Cavanagh’s Harrison Wells. He arrived from Earth-2 in the closing moments of this week’s episode of The Flash, and as he’s also not mentioned in the synopsis, the series is clearly keeping his intentions a mystery for the time being.

We’ll have to wait and see how that develops, but what do you think about this new look at the all-new Firestorm in The Flash? Sound off below and let us know!
