New Arrowverse Promo Teases The Flash’s New Suit

While the DC heroes on the silver screen have been looking a little wobbly as of late, the same can't be said for The CW's increasingly ambitious and well-regarded Arrowverse franchise. Later this year, we'll get to witness the return of The Flash, Supergirl, Arrow, Black Lightning and Legends of Tomorrow, not to mention the introduction of Ruby Rose's much-hyped Batwoman in the December crossover episodes.

While the DC heroes on the silver screen have been looking a little wobbly as of late, the same can’t be said for The CW’s increasingly ambitious and well-regarded Arrowverse franchise. Later this year, we’ll get to witness the return of The FlashSupergirl, ArrowBlack Lightning and Legends of Tomorrow, not to mention the introduction of Ruby Rose’s much-hyped Batwoman in the December crossover episodes.

Now, to whet your whistle a bit before they all return, The CW’s released this new promo for the upcoming season of each show which teases what’s to come, as well as giving us a brief look at Barry’s new super suit. Yes, The Flash is getting a costume upgrade for season 5 and though we’ve seen a few photos of it already, it’s still nice to get a glimpse of it in action. Even though it’s not much more than a couple of seconds.

Perhaps predictably, the one hero we don’t get to see here is Rose’s Batwoman. That’s certainly unfortunate, as she’s no doubt the main attraction in this year’s CW line-up, already having spawned a healthy dose of angry comments online and many column inches about the prospect of a lesbian Batwoman, despite the character having been one in the comics ever since this version of her debuted about ten years ago.

Still, there’s much to enjoy in this promo, as it teases what’s to come in all of the Arrowverse shows and promises another epic season of superhero TV for fans to get excited about. Like we said above, the DC heroes might be having trouble finding their footing on the big screen, but on television, they continue to soar to new heights each and every season and we can’t wait for them to return.
